Mapworld Information

Mapworld: Imagine the archetypal fantasy world. Done it? Right. Now write the names of every forest, town, country, and significant mountain on the mountain in huge black letters - like Hollywood but flat on the land. Add contour lines and spot heights.

Then imagine it really is a map. So it has fold lines everywhere.

But it has a population. The most unusual population you've ever seen. You are a barkeeper, evil warrior with ten minute life expectancy, good warrior with fifteen minute life expectancy, hero with a trilogy under your belt, evil mastermind, anti-hero with supporting role in a trilogy, or king.

The skies are continually raining because this is customary at the beginning of an adventure, and someone is always beginning an adventure. But the constant rumble of thunder is merely due to the games the gods play… their dice roll across the world.

The people live in terror of a time they call the Great Folding, when their world will collapse upon itself.
